City of Folsom Facility Closures and Program Modifications Due to Poor Air Quality November 16
Due to persistent poor air quality, and commensurate with Folsom Cordova Unified School District school closures on Friday, November 16, the City of Folsom has made the following adjustments to City of Folsom programs and services:
Closed/Canceled
· Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary
· Steve Miklos Aquatic Center
· Youth flag football games
· CAVE Teen Centers (after-school programs at Folsom Middle School and Sutter Middle School)
· Cummings Family Skate and Bike Park
· Competitive and recreational practices and games on City of Folsom fields and outdoor facilities
· Folsom Senior Walk & Talk events
Modified Events
· Outdoor activities at the Andy Morin Sports Complex are canceled, such as outdoor soccer and football. All indoor activities remain on schedule.
· Fun Factory preschool outdoor activities scheduled will be moved indoors.
Other Updates
· Folsom Stage Line transit service and waste and recycling services will remain on schedule.
· The Folsom Public Library will be open.
· 48 Natoma Senior and Art Center will be open.
· City Hall administration offices, Folsom Police Department offices, and Folsom Fire Department stations will remain open.
