Two more arrests made this week on suspected thieves by CPD officers.
This week Campbell Police Officers made multiple arrests of suspected thieves. The first involved a prolific thief who was linked to several burglaries. The second arrest was made in conjunction with our bait program.
Jacob Mahoney, 23 year old from Los Gatos, was wanted in connection with an auto theft in Campbell. Investigators located him on Tuesday afternoon at the 1800 block of S. Bascom Avenue. Mahoney was found in possession of multiple items reported stolen in Campbell and Los Gatos.
Investigators were able to connect him to several other auto burglaries on the east side of Campbell along Bascom Avenue. Mahoney was arrested and booked for auto theft, auto burglary, and a parole violation.
Last night, we also arrested Travis Freudenblum, 25 year old transient, for stealing a Campbell Police bait bike from a resident’s porch. After making contact with Freudenblum, it was discovered he was in possession of burglary tools and a methamphetamine pipe. He also had three outstanding warrants totaling $27,500.
Captain Gary Berg said, “We believe these two suspects are responsible for multiple auto burglaries and thefts. We will continue to work with our outstanding community to deter thieves from coming to Campbell and prevent future crime.”
