Press Release: NPD #2018-00030952 Threat Investigation & Detention (NHS, 18111 Cumberland Rd, Noblesville) 11.16.18
Noblesville, IN – On November 16, 2018, the Noblesville Police Department commenced an investigation in regards to a report of a threatening message located on a restroom wall at the Noblesville High School. After learning of the threat, investigators, school resource officers, and school officials worked diligently to identify the source of the threat. A person of interest was quickly identified and detained. As the investigative process evolved, the person of interest was later determined to be the suspect. The suspect has been identified as a fifteen year old male student of Noblesville High School.
The Noblesville Police Department and Noblesville School Corporation take each and every allegation of a threat seriously. Once information of the today’s threat was reported, school officials and police officers immediately initiated extra safety precautions to ensure the security of everyone involved. In addition and as a result of this collaborative effort, the suspect was quickly identified and the threat assessment was reduced accordingly.
