Deputies investigate a vehicle vs. pedestrian traffic collision; 11 year old boy suffered moderate injuries

LOCATION: J Street north of Bailey Avenue, Needles
DRIVER: 57-year-old female, resident of Needles
PEDESTRIAN: 11-year-old male, resident of Needles
SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 12:36 p.m. a male juvenile was struck while walking in the crosswalk on J Street adjacent the baseball fields. The 2012 red Ford Fiesta was travelling south on J Street when the driver struck the juvenile. The driver of that vehicle stopped to render assistance and is cooperating with the investigation. Impairment does not appear to be a factor.
The juvenile was transported to Colorado River Medical Center with moderate injuries.
