The National Weather Service has issued a Special Weather Statement that affects Houston and surrounding areas beginning tonight that may impact commuting travelers tomorrow. Below is that Statement.

...Areas of rain likely through Monday Morning for Anchorage and the Matanuska Valley...

Rain (with spotty areas of freezing rain in prone cold valleys) will be likely at times through Monday morning/early afternoon from Anchorage northward to Eagle River and the Matanuska Valley.

Temperatures will generally be above 32 degrees, but with ice and snow on untreated cold surfaces, rain falling on top of this could result in hazardous travel (especially on less traveled neighborhood roads). The greatest precipitation amounts are likely to occur after midnight and early morning on Monday, and may impact the Monday morning commute.
