On November 14, 2018, a Harris County Precinct One deputy responded to a suspicious person call in the Vermont Commons contract. The deputy made contact with the suspicious person while he was asleep in his running vehicle that was in drive with his foot on the brake.
The deputy located illegal drugs in the vehicle that were visible in plain sight and detained the suspicious person. The deputy then took the suspect into custody on the narcotics charge and soon located several credit cards, and Texas Driver’s Licenses with various names on them.
The deputy then located several notebooks with various people’s names, date of births, social security numbers, and address’s. The deputy turned this evidence over to the Harris County Precinct One investigator.
The investigator was able to locate most of the victims and learned the suspect did not have permission to have these individuals personal information. The investigator also learned that several vehicles had been rented under false pretenses by the suspect, and his girlfriend using these victims information.
The investigator then received an email from a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office detective that was shared throughout several counties.
The email contained pictures of the suspects from Harris County and the investigator shared the information with the detective.
Charges were then filed on Blake Harris (DOB 08/30/1984). Charges were not accepted in Harris County for his girlfriend Jayme Volstad (DOB 01/11/1980), however Montgomery County filed charges on both suspects.
On November 28, 2018, Harris County Precinct One deputies went to the suspects residence with the warrants to arrest both suspects.
The deputies made entry into the residence and took both suspects into custody without incidence.
Illegal Narcotics were located in plain view of the residence and Jayme Volstad was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
