Press Release: Motor vehicle stop leads to arrest of driver for possession of CDS with intent to distribute

ACCUSED: Alberto Moreno, Age 19, Asbury Park, NJ
NARRATIVE:
On November 21, 2018 at approximately 1:06pm Ptl Jeff Kless was conducting stationary radar enforcement on Grassmere Ave in the Borough of Interlaken. Ptl Kless observed a vehicle speeding and conducted a motor vehicle stop on Grassmere Ave in the area of Rona Street. Further investigation conducted by the officers involved revealed the accused subjects to be in possession of controlled dangerous substances with the intent to distribute.
Moreno was transported to Deal Police Headquarters for processing and charging. Moreno was subsequently charged with possession of CDS with the intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle. in accordance with bail reform guidelines, Moreno was committed to Monmouth County Jail pending a court date.
