Update: Object/device determined not to be suspicious by @ACSOsheriffs

Update:
The object was inspected and determined not to be suspicious a short time ago by the ACSO Bomb Squad.  We appreciate ACSO’s assistance.

Original Message:

We are currently investigating a suspicious object/device in the parking lot of Costco and ACSO Bomb Squad is responding assist. 

Tonight at 7:56 p.m., patrol officers responded to the parking lot of Costco at Pacific Commons (43600 Pacific Commons Blvd) to investigate a suspicious object.  Upon arrival, officers confirmed the object to be suspicious in nature.  The parking lot and business were cordoned off and the Alameda County Bomb Squad is currently responding to further investigate.  

The incident is isolated to the property of Costco and no additional evacuations have been ordered at this time.  The business had already closed for the evening.  We ask that community members please stay away from the area.  We will provide an update once ACSO arrives and has an opportunity to assess the object.
