Deputies locate stolen vehicle and arrest Alfonso Pena and Leah Moore. for possession of a stolen car

INCIDENT: PC 496 - Possession of Stolen Vehicle
PC 29800(A) - Felon in Possession of Firearm
LOCATION: Oak Glen / 14th St, Yucaipa
SUSPECT(S): Alfonso Pena, 22-year-old transient
Leah Moore, 20-year-old transient
SUMMARY: While patrolling, deputies located a stolen 1995 Nissan Altima in the area of Oak Glen and 14th. Deputies initiated a felony traffic stop and took the two occupants, Pena and Moore, into custody. Inside the vehicle, deputies located a loaded 9mm handgun. Pena was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm and for possessing a stolen vehicle. Moore was also arrested for possession of the stolen vehicle.
In addition to his new charges, Pena was found to have felony warrants out of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties for stolen property offenses. He was booked at Central Detention Center and is being held without bail. Moore was booked for possession of stolen property and is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
