Decedent: Jesse Ruben Gomez (31) Santa Ana
Synopsis:
On Sunday, December 09, 2018, at 5:15 PM, SAPD officers responded to reports of a shooting with a victim down in the area of 600 East St. Andrew Place. Officer located an adult male (31) suffering from multiple gunshots. Orange County Fire Authority Paramedics treated and transported the victim to a local trauma center. Attending physicians declared the victim deceased at 6:11 PM.
SAPD Homicide Detectives responded and assumed the investigation. Surveillance video from the area does not depict the shooting but shows multiple witnesses near the shooting scene. Detectives are attempting to identify and locate witnesses who can shed light on this incident. The motive for the shooting is unknown and the investigation is ongoing.
