The following crimes were reported during in Canyon Country East (Zone 8) during the week of November 26, 2018 to December 2, 2018:

11/26/18 
Residential Burglary- 17500 block of Harris Way 
Person(s) unknown forced entry into the victim’s vehicle and stole items from within. 

11/28/18 
Grand Theft Auto- 26300 block of Teal Court 
Person(s) unknown stole the victim’s vehicle which was parked at his residence near the above location. 

11/29/18 
Grand Theft- 19200 block of Golden Valley Road 
Person(s) unknown took items from a business near the above location and walked out of the business making no attempt to pay for the items. 

12/01/18 
Vehicle Burglary- 29500 block of Abelia Road 
Person(s) unknown forced entry into the victim’s vehicle and stole items from within.

Public Safety Tip: Don't store items of value in your car even if it is locked.   If thieves see something valuable through your car windows, they won't hesitate to break a window. If you must leave items in your car, put them in the trunk and out-of-view. There are crooks that go to neighborhoods at night, just checking for unlocked car doors and valuables worth smashing a window for.
