This afternoon the Bank of Wisconsin Dells received a threat indicating a bomb would go off if a ransom was not paid.  Bank officials alerted the Wisconsin Dells Police. At about the same time, the Wisconsin Crime Alert Network sent out a statewide alert regarding similar threats.  The bank threat and Crime Alert were almost identical.  As a precaution to their customers and employees, the Bank of Wisconsin Dells closed for the day.  Police and bank officials went through the building and found no evidence to support this theat.  The Bank of Wisconsin Dells and the Wisconsin Dells police thank everyone for their cooperation in this matter and the bank will be open tomorrow for regular business.
