Press Release from the Highland Park Police Department - 12/14
The Highland Park Police is investigating an aggravated assault that occurred on Friday, December 7, 2018 at approximately 9:30 p.m. The female victim was walking on Woodbridge Avenue near the intersection of South Tenth Avenue when she was thrown to the ground and physically assaulted. The victim sustained facial injuries and was treated at the scene by Highland Park First Aid Squad.
The victim was able to provide details of what the suspect looked like and a sketch was developed with the assistance of the New Jersey State Police Composite Artist Unit.
The investigation is ongoing and being handled by Detective Sean McGraw of the Highland Park Police Department. Anyone with information is asked to contact him at (732) 572-3800, ext 4263.
Suspect description provided by the victim:
• Black male, medium to dark skin tone
• 16 to 20 years of age
• Approximately 5’06” to 5’07” in height
• Slim build
• Wearing a black puffy jacket, blue jeans and black sneakers or boots
