Social Media Change – Anderson P.D.

As of December 17th 2018, the Anderson Police Department will stop utilizing the Nixle service for announcements and information releases, including press releases. Due to several changes made on behalf of the Nixle provider, the Anderson Police Department will be utilizing alternate conduits for which to distribute public announcements and public information.

For the time being, Anderson Police will be publishing most announcements and press releases on the department Facebook page. Once a new provider is located and approved, we will notify the public immediately.

In the event of an emergency, the “Code Red” alert system will be used. On behalf of the Anderson Police Department, we would like to thank the public for the continued support and involvement in our community.
