Search of probationer yields methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia 
Deputy Jeffrey Hill of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Billy Joe Sanders Jr., 48, address listed as Hogan Drive in Old Fort, with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Hill assisted state probation officers with a search of Sanders’s residence on Thursday, Nov. 15. While on probation, Sanders is subject to warrantless searches.
Authorities located .30 gram of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the house.
