Burglars Force Entry at Best Buy Store in Goleta and Steal Dozens of MacBook Computers 
On December 23, 2018, at about 4:00 a.m., Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Best Buy store located at 7090 Marketplace Drive in Goleta for a report of a burglary where the suspects had forced entry through a metal emergency exit door.
The responding deputies met with a store manager, who had just arrived at the store to prepare for opening, when he discovered that a burglary had occurred. The manager told the deputies that after the suspects entered the store, they forced their way into a storage room to steal approximately 60-MacBook computers with a value of about $75,000.
During investigation it was determined that video surveillance captured images of multiple suspects committing the crime.
Sheriff’s Deputies along with Detectives from the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Bureau are actively investigating this crime. Because of the on-going investigation surveillance video or photos are not being released.
