Narcotics arrest following K-9 Alert (click on blue link) 
In the early morning hours of December 30, 2018, Officer Robert Walker initiated a traffic stop (Chris Drive in Marion) on a vehicle driven by Amber Lynn Amator (w/f 35yoa), for a registration violation. A passenger, Scottie Alan Frady (w/m 21 yoa) was known to officers to have an active warrant for his arrest.
After a short conversation with the occupants, Cpl. Christian Wyatt deployed K-9 Marsoc to conduct a narcotics sniff of the vehicle. K-9 Marsoc alerted to the presence of narcotics, and a search of the vehicle yielded 55.47gm of Methamphetamine, narcotics paraphernalia, and US currency.
Amator was arrested and placed in the custody of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office ($50,000 bond) for the following charges:
Trafficking Methamphetamine
Possession with Intent to Manufacture Sale and Deliver Methamphetamine
Maintaining a Vehicle for the Use/Storage/Sale of Methamphetamine
Possession of Methamphetamine
Frady was arrested and placed in the custody of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office ($11,750 bond) for the following charges:
Possession of Methamphetamine
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Outstanding warrant for non-related matter.
