THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE IS TRANSMITTED AT THE REQUEST OF THE COLORADO AVALANCHE INFORMATION CENTER. An Avalanche Warning is in Effect for the South San Juan Mountains
* TIMING...Warning is in effect from 5 PM December 31, 2018 to 8 AM January 2, 2019.
* AFFECTED AREAS...The South San Juan forecast zone of the Colorado Avalanche Information Center including the South San Juan Mountains, La Plata Mountains, Needle Mountains, and Grenadier Range
* AVALANCHE DANGER...The avalanche danger will reach HIGH (Level 4 of 5) late Monday.
* REASON...Intense snowfall on Monday night will result in a widespread avalanche cycle. Very dangerous conditions will continue through the day Tuesday
* AFFECTED AREAS: SOUTHWEST SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS
