..FREEZE WARNING FOR THE INLAND EMPIRE AND LOWER DESERT AREAS TONIGHT AND AGAIN WEDNESDAY NIGHT... ...HARD FREEZE WARNING FOR THE HIGH DESERTS OF SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY TONIGHT... ...FROST ADVISORY FOR THE VALLEYS IN SAN DIEGO COUNTY TONIGHT... .Strong offshore flow will continue into Wednesday, especially in the corridor from the Cajon Pass to the western slopes of the Santa Ana Mountains. It will still be quite breezy in other wind- prone canyons, passes, and foothill areas on Wednesday. As the winds decrease, clear skies and light winds will result in widespread frost and freezing conditions the next couple of nights. Minimum temperatures could be near 20 in the Apple and Lucerne Valleys tonight. The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued a Freeze Warning...which is in effect from 10 PM this evening to 8 AM PST Thursday. The Freeze Watch is no longer in effect.

* Winds...Northeast 20 to 35 mph with gusts 45 to 55 mph and peak gusts to near 70 mph.

* Timing...Through midday on Wednesday.

* Location...Mainly on the foothills, below the Cajon Pass and near the Santa Ana Mountains.

* Visibility...Locally reduced in blowing dust.

* Impacts...Tree damage possible. Difficult driving due to sudden cross winds at times.

* Outlook...Winds will decrease Wednesday afternoon. For the freeze...

* Location...Central and southern portions of the Inland Empire

* Duration...Six hours or more of sub-freezing temperatures tonight and again Wednesday night.

* Minimum Temperatures...25 to 30.

* Impacts...Water pipes could freeze if not adequately insulated. Sensitive plants and crops could be damaged or killed. Adequate shelter will be necessary for pets.
