Corporal Singh's Funeral Information for News Media

Modesto CA – There is a designated media parking lot on the corner of 12th Street and Needhan at CrossPoint Community Church (1301 12th Street, Modesto). Media vehicles will have to be in place by 7:00 AM on Saturday morning (1/5/19). Due to the number of patrol vehicles that will be staging on the streets for the procession, media vehicles will not be able to arrive after 7:00 AM and park in the media parking lot. Also, those media vehicles in the media parking lot will not be able to leave until after the procession, which is scheduled to begin at approximately 11:30 AM.

KCRA will be providing the pool feed from their truck for media outlets on scene at the church for the live-stream. In addition, The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office will be live-streaming on YouTube @ http://youtube.com/user/StanSheriff/ and the Newman Facebook page http://facebook.com/NewmanPoliceDepartment. We will provide a list of the speakers to media members at the church the morning of the service.

For the graveside service at Lakewood Memorial Park (900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson) The Sheriff’s Department will have a live-stream, however, that will only be provided on our YouTube and Facebook sites. We have a designated spot for media cameras at the graveside service and you will be able to place a wireless microphone on the lectern to pick up audio there. If possible, it is recommended that you be in place before the procession arrives at Lakewood, which is tentatively scheduled for 12:00. The graveside service should begin at approximately 1300 hours.

We will also have a pool still photographer who will be providing pictures via dropbox during the church and graveside services. Please email us at [email protected] with your name and agency if you wish to receive photographs. We will then sent you an invitation to the dropbox to receive the photographs.
