Drug Arrest Ellenboro 
On January 2, 2019, North Carolina Department of Public Safety, Rutherford County Sheriff Office Narcotics Unit and Rutherford County Sheriff Office Interdiction Team worked in collaberation to make an arrest at 196 Cherry Mountain Street Ellenboro, N.C. Braxton Kelly Atkins, age 17, was the target of an investigation at the residence of 196 Cherry Mountain Street Ellenboro, N.C. Atkins was found in possession of 334 grams of marijuana, Rugar 9MM Pistol, 8 Oxycodone and Drug Paraphernalia. Atkins was taken into custody and received $16,000.00 secured bond. Atkins will have his first appearance in Rutherford County District Court on January 3, 2019.
