Armed Altercation at Mobile Home Park
On Monday January 7th, at approximately 1340 hours, Morgan Hill Police were dispatched to the Acacia Mobile Home Park located at 18055 Monterey Rd on a report of a disturbance involving a firearm. Upon arrival, officers learned there was a verbal altercation between two adult brothers. During the altercation, one of the brothers, 36-year-old Alberto Hernandez, brandished a handgun and threatened to kill his brother. Ultimately, the victim was able to exit the trailer unharmed and notify the police. MHPD established a perimeter and evacuated surrounding units. MHPD K9 unit responded to the scene and multiple attempts were made to contact Hernandez inside the trailer. Investigating officers learned Hernandez may have escaped the area prior to police arrival. A detailed search of the trailer and the surrounding area was conducted and proved Hernandez had fled prior to police arrival. Hernandez is currently homeless and may be traveling with unknown friends. Hernandez should be considered armed and dangerous. Do not attempt to apprehend the subject.
