Winter Storm Warning until 06:00PM Sunday

A strong low pressure system crossing the region late Saturday through Sunday night combined with cold air extending in from the north will lead to predominately freezing rain over portions of the northern Piedmont and adjacent Virginia bordering counties Saturday night and into the day on Sunday.

* WHAT...ice accumulations of a quarter of an inch to three tenths of an inch expected. Little to no snow accumulation expected.

* WHERE...Person, Forsyth, Guilford and Alamance Counties.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 PM EST Sunday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice. Travel could be nearly impossible.

* AFFECTED AREAS: PERSON ... GUILFORD ... ALAMANCE ... FORSYTH
