Residential Burglary | Help prevent these crimes in your neighborhood

On Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at 12:00am, Middleton officers responded to a residence in the 1400 block of Parmenter Street in the Fox Ridge Neighborhood for a burglary to a residence. The garage door was left open & suspect(s) entered the occupied home through an unlocked service door connecting the garage to the home.

The suspect(s) stole two laptop computers, a backpack, a bottle of alcohol, keys & a white Honda Odyssey minivan. The minivan was located unoccupied a few blocks away.

We continue to see an increase in these types of incidents & strongly encourage residents to keep your vehicles, homes & garages secured. Many of the incidents have involved unlocked vehicles, homes & garages & could have easily been prevented if the vehicles & homes were locked & garages were closed. These are generally crimes of opportunity & if the opportunity isn't there, the criminals will move on & our neighborhoods will be safer.

The investigation into this incident continues. If you have any information about this crime, please call or text Middleton Police at 608-824-7300 or leave a message on our confidential tipster line at 608-824-7304. If you notice suspicious activity in your neighborhood, please call us at 608-824-7300 as soon as possible.
