This is an advisory from the Ross Valley and Kentfield Fire Departments. Forecasters are predicting heavy rains and strong winds continuing through Thursday. The Ross Valley has the potential to experience localized flooding in the low lying areas. It is highly recommended that you be proactive now and stay alert. Consider moving personal belongings to higher ground, including vehicles. The College of Marin parking lots 15, 16 and 2 are a good choice to safely park your vehicle away from flooding areas. Parking enforcement for these lots will not be in effect. Avoid walking in flood waters as this could pose a threat of injury or death. If present, avoid down power lines. Remember to TURN AROUND and DON’T DROWN!!! Do not drive through flooded streets
