Winter Storm Warning until 06:00PM Friday

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 8 to 16 inches with locally higher amounts above 10,000 feet. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Northwest San Juan Mountains and Southwest San Juan Mountains.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 PM MST Friday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult, especially over Red Mountain, Lizard Head and Molas Passes. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.

* AFFECTED AREAS: NORTHWESTERN SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS ... SOUTHWEST SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS
