The Glendora Police Department is now accepting applications for Class #35 of their fun and exciting Citizen’s Academy. The Academy has graduated hundreds Glendora residents and is a great way to become familiar with the functions of the Glendora Police Department. This class is also the pre-requisite for becoming a GPD Auxiliary Volunteer! Classroom time will include introductions to Dispatch and Jail Services, Fraud and Identity Theft, Mock Traffic Stops, Fingerprinting and more! Academy classes begin on Wednesday, February 6th from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at the Police Department and runs for 12 consecutive Wednesday nights and is free. Applications to attend can be picked up at the front counter of the Glendora Police Department located at 150 S. Glendora Avenue or by visiting the website at www.cityofglendora.org or via an email to [email protected].
Application deadline is Wednesday, January 30th. All applicants must consent to a record and background check. Class size is limited to 25 students and is free to those who work or live in the City of Glendora or are students of Citrus College and are at least 18 years of age.
