Wind Advisory until 06:00PM

A strong cold front will move through the region this morning with winds becoming northwesterly and increasing in speed. Strong winds will continue through the day as colder and drier air moves down from the north. Winds expected to taper off towards sunset. The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect until 6 PM CST this evening. The Lake Wind Advisory has been cancelled.

* TIMING...from the late morning hours through sunset today.

* WINDS...20 to 25 mph with gusts to 30 to 35 mph.

* IMPACTS...Hazardous driving conditions, especially high profile vehicles on west-east elevated roadways and bridges. Loose objects such as lawn furniture, trash cans, and trampolines should be secured so they do not blow around.
