INCIDENT: Deal Officers save choking victim
OFFICERS INVOLVED: Detective Dan Liptak, Ptl Chris Mirrione, Ptl Jeff Kless
NARRATIVE:
On January 18, 2019 at approximately 6pm Detective Dan Liptak, Ptl Chris Mirrione and Ptl Jeff Kless were dispatched to a home on Westra Street for a report of a 40-year-old female choking. Upon arrival officers observed the female to be unconscious and not breathing. Officers immediately began life saving measures including the Heimlich Maneuver and CPR. The officers, along with members of Allenhurst First Aid and MONOC Paramedics, were able to clear the airway and the patient regained consciousness. She was subsequently transported to the hospital for evaluation.
