South Bay Rapid Grand Opening Saturday; free rides January 27-February 2 
The South Bay Rapid will have a grand opening ceremony and community celebration on Saturday, January 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Heritage Rapid Station located at 1381 East Palomar Street in Chula Vista.
Enjoy free food, family-friendly activities, entertainment, and giveaways (while supplies last). Due to limited street parking, consider using transit (MTS Bus Route 712), ride a bike or carpool to the event.
Full service will begin on the Rapid January 27. The public can enjoy FREE rides January 27-February 2. The route includes 12 stations along 26 miles between the Otay Mesa Transit Center and downtown San Diego. The service will run from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
