Update: Winter Weather Advisory issued January 24 at 3:30AM EST expiring January 25 at 1:00PM EST by NWS Northern Indiana
* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches
expected. Winds from the west will be 15 to 25 mph with gusts as
high as 35 mph. This will lead to patchy blowing snow.
* WHERE...Berrien and Cass Counties.
* WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to 1 PM EST Friday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Patchy
blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The
hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday evening or Friday
morning commutes. Also...wind chill values of 5 below to 15
below zero are expected Friday morning.
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads
and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
Instructions:
Winter storms create a higher risk of car accidents, hypothermia, frostbite, carbon monoxide poisoning, and heart attacks from overexertion. Winter storms and blizzards can bring extreme cold, freezing rain, snow, ice, and high winds. A winter storm can:
Last a few hours or several days;
Knock out heat, power, and communication services; and
