The Voorhees Police Department has received several reports from residents who have been victimized by phone scams.  The suspects portray themselves as Apple employees and request personal information and payment via various sources including Google Play cards.

Please do not to respond to any E-Mails from those who claim to be employees or agents of Apple that request funds in any manner (Apple will NEVER do this). Additionally, if you receive a phone call from someone claiming to be Apple (which will not happen unless they have a device currently being worked on at an official Apple location) take down the information provide, do not give any personal information over the phone, and contact an Apple store first to confirm the information received.

Also, Apple will not ask for payment via Google play card or any other method of payment other than credit/debit card or cash.
