Due to an emergency situation earlier today at a Consumers Gas Facility, residents urged to lower heat to 65 degrees
Due to an incident at a Consumer's Energy facility earlier today, company officials are urging residents to immediately lower heat to 65 degrees in an effort to reduce pressure in gas lines. If gas company officials are not able to correct the immediate issue, there is a high risk of complete gas transmission system failure which would result in NO GAS FLOW to homes or businesses by early morning. Your assistance is greatly appreciated in this extreme matter.
Instructions:
Adjust heating temperatures in gas furnaces to 65 degrees and reduce use of gas use such as cooking or other natural gas operated appliances.
