Voluntary Evacuation Warnings Issued for Saturday, February 2, 2019 for Country Club Drive in Burbank
BURBANK, CA (February 1, 2019) – A Voluntary Evacuation will be in place for Country Club Drive above Via Montana beginning 5:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 2, 2019, through 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 2, 2019. This may be extended if weather conditions change. Intermittent, temporary hard road closures of unknown duration(s) may occur on Country Club Drive if and when unsafe driving conditions are observed.
Residents in this area should be vigilant and look for deep, fast-flowing water and the possibility of shallow mud or debris flows along Country Club Drive. If fast-flowing water becomes deeper than two inches, or water is observed spanning from curb line to curb line, or if any mud or debris flow is seen, residents should shelter in place and not attempt to travel through or cross the fast-flowing water, mud or debris flow. Bear in mind that residents who remain home and do not evacuate voluntarily may be placing themselves in a situation where emergency service personnel might not be able to reach them, if and when necessary.
There will be no designated evacuation site at this time. A shelter site may be established in the event of a mandatory evacuation warning and announced to residents through social media.
