The northbound #2 lane in the 2300 block of S. Garfield Ave closed due to rain related issues 
Due to the continuous heavy rain today in a short period of time, the storm drain manhole cover in front of 2310 S. Garfield popped off causing a water spout and a traffic hazard.
Since more rain is expected tonight and in the next couple of days, the northbound #2 lane in the 2300 block of S. Garfield Ave. was closed as a preventive measure due to the potential of this happening again.
Depending on the time of day, expect traffic delays in this area.
