Synopsis: Two residents of the independent living facility became involved in a verbal argument, over money owed, inside the residence. The argument became physical and one of the residents produced a knife and stabbed the other resident twice. The suspect in the stabbing fled the residence and was last seen on foot N/B 54th St. The victim is a 26-year old male, who sustained one stab wound to the chest and one to the left arm. The victim was transported to an area hospital by paramedics. The victim's injuries are considered serious but non-life threatening. The suspect has been identified but is not in custody. The suspect is a Luis Mandevil, a 21-year old black male with short hair and a beard The suspect is 6' tall and weighs between 230-250 pounds. Mandevil was last seen wearing an either blue or red shirt and grey jogging pants. Eastern Division detectives will be conducting the investigation.
