FPD searching for possibly armed suspect, area of Downs Blvd. Do not leave vehicles running, unlocked & unattended. 
Franklin police are searching for a light-skinned black male teenager who ran from a stolen vehicle on Downs Boulevard. Officers are searching the New Hope Academy area for the at-large suspect, believed to be armed.
Officers are working with school officials to ensure the safety of arriving students.
Instructions:
Citizens are urged not to leave their vehicles running and unattended, as this suspect may be in the area and on foot, and looking for a way to further flee the area. Keep your car doors, home, and outbuildings locked as you go about your activities, while an area search for the suspect continues.
