Today 2/4/19 is going to be a very active weather and road closure day. There have been multiple collisions and slide-offs all over the County today already. Everyone is asked to use extreme caution while driving and to stay updated with the latest information by visiting http://www.wyoroad.info and http://www.weather.gov/riw.
Currently ALL roads are closed in Grand Teton National Park. This means that until N Highway 89 reopens, Jackson Hole Airport is inaccessible. N Highway 89 north out of Jackson into Grand Teton National Park is being closed just north of the Jackson town boundary. Additionally, access between Togwotee Pass and Grand Teton National Park/Town of Jackson is also closed due to winter conditions. Highway 22 Teton Pass is also closed between Wilson and the Idaho State Line.The latest updates on all road conditions can be found at www.wyoroad.info.
Residents in the area of Snow King Mountain are being advised that the ski hill will be performing avalanche control blasting this morning 2/4/19. There may be approximately 20 blasts during control operations. No action is required on behalf of the public; this is for informational purposes only.
