URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...Hazardous Mountain and Foothill Travel Continues through
Tuesday...

.Additional winter storms will bring periods of dangerous
travel from heavy snow and gusty winds through Tuesday. White out
conditions are possible along with chain controls, long travel
delays, and even road closures. Travel into the high country is
strongly discouraged early this week.

Significant snow is also possible in the foothills into Tuesday.
Accumulations around 3 to 9 inches are expected between the
elevations of 1500 and 2500 feet with lighter amounts down to
1000 feet. Some mixture of rain and snow cannot be ruled out to
elevations as low as 750 feet.

ABOVE 1500 FEET...

* WHAT...Heavy snow occurring. Travel will be very difficult to
impossible. Additional snow accumulations of 8 to 12 inches,
with localized amounts up to 36 inches, are expected.

* WHERE...Northeast Foothills/Sacramento Valley, Motherlode and
Western Plumas County/Lassen Park.

* WHEN...Until 4 PM Tuesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for significant reductions in
visibility at times.

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means there will be snow covered
roads and limited visibilities. Travel is not recommended while
the warning is in effect. If you must travel, keep an extra
flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an
