Water rescue in southern Vigo County 
On 02/05/2019, at approximately 06:44 PM, Vigo County Sheriff’s Deputies, Honey Creek Fire Dept, and Sugar Creek Fire Dept water rescue, were dispatched to the area of Crossing Blvd and Winthrop Ct, regarding a vehicle that was occupied and submerged in a retention pond. Upon arriving on scene, the driver was conscious and communicating with first responders. The driver was safely extricated from the vehicle and was transported to Terre Haute Regional Hospital for treatment of cold exposure.
Drugs and alcohol did not appear to be a factor.
