01/02/2019 *Home Invasion
7600 Block of Spencer – Homeowner reported that sometime between 8 am & 5 pm unknown subject(s) entered his home and removed property. The homeowner believes entry was gained through an unlocked door. If anyone saw a vehicle or subject in the area on this day, we are asking you to contact the Northfield Police. No suspects or witnesses have been developed
01/03/2019 *Fraud Attempt
5300 Block of Hellner – A resident reported that she received a phone call from someone identifying themselves working for Social Security Administration. The caller advised the resident that she owed $1500.00 and needed to pay this back or future Social Security checks would stop. The resident was further instructed to purchase google pay cards totaling the $1500.00 in order to pay off her debt. While making the purchase, the resident learned that this could be a scam. No transaction was completed and no losses suffered. No official government agency will have you pay a debt with gift cards, nor will they advise you of such a debt through a phone call.
01/04/2019 *Unlawful Driving Away of an Automobile (Auto Theft)
4400 Block of N. Territorial – A resident reported parking her vehicle on her property at 6 pm, January 3 and discovering it missing on January 4 at 11:30am. The vehicle was recovered unoccupied by Detroit Police on 01/07/2019. No arrests were made.
01/06/2019 *Arrest – Possession of Marijuana
Jennings & Brookside –A suspicious vehicle in the athletic field led to the discovery of suspected marijuana – a subject was arrested, but released after they were processed at the Northfield Police station –the case is awaiting lab results.
01/07/2019 *Arrest- Fugitive Warrant
Dixboro & Pontiac Trail –An officer observed a traffic violation and upon stop of the vehicle discovered the driver was wanted on an outstanding warrant. The driver was arrested and transported to the Northfield Police Station where he posted bond and was given a new court date.
01/14/2019 *Larceny from Auto
Harbor Cove Apts- A complainant reported that her skis were stolen from her vehicle while she briefly left her vehicle unattended with the back gate open. An officer patrolling the area recovered the property, after further investigation, it was determined that the property had been stolen during the previous night.
01/15/2019 *Arrest – Home Invasion
9200 Block of Brookside- Officers responded to a report of an assault, the investigation revealed that a known individual had entered a home, uninvited, and through a window. The suspect was discovered on scene and was arrested. Felony Home Invasion and Malicious Destruction of Property charges were authorized.
01/20/2019 *Malicious Destruction of Property
200 Block of Diamond Circle- The complainant stated that at unknown time or location someone spray painted his vehicle bumper. No witnesses or evidence were left at the scene.
01/23/2019 *Larceny from Auto
200 Block of Diamond Circle – A victim reported that at approximately 5 am 2 unknown subjects driving a white or silver pickup, cut the lock of his trailer and removed most of his recreational fishing equipment. The vehicle was last seen on Barker Rd. The case remains under investigation. If anyone has information regarding this case, contact the Northfield Police.
01/23/2019 *Hit & Run
8900 Block of Lincoln –the homeowner woke to discover damage to his vehicle. The investigation revealed that some other vehicle left the roadway and struck the complainant’s vehicles’ driver side, front quarter panel, pushing the quarter panel into the tire. The owner recalls hearing a loud noise at approximately 2-3 am. No witnesses or evidence was left at the scene.
1/23/2019 *Hit & Run
400 Block of Ruby Lane- the homeowner observed damage to her vehicle which was parked in her driveway. The investigation revealed that a vehicle left the roadway and struck complainant’s vehicle while it was parked. No witnesses or evidence was left at the scene.
01/28/2019 *Arrest -Fugitive Warrant
U.S 23 & Barker– An officer received information of a subject walking on U.S 23 – The officer located this subject at Barker and while investigating the needs of this subject, the officer discovered the subject was wanted on an outstanding warrant. The subject was arrested and transported to the jurisdiction holding the warrant.
09/28/2019 *Assault & Battery
9400 Block of Main Street- The victim reported that he was assaulted & punched by a known subject. The officers interviewed both parties and forwarded the report for prosecutor’s review.
09/30/2019 *Fraud
5900 Block of Bedford Place – A small business owner reported that someone opened several phone lines on his business account. The fraudster used both the business name and address. The business owner was advised to check his banking accounts which appeared to be undisturbed. No suspects.
