Flood Watch until 07:00AM Tuesday

A flood threat will return to Central Indiana on Sunday Night through Tuesday morning. A warm front will settle across Central Indiana resulting periods of rain. Recent rains have already saturated the ground across Central Indiana and additional substantial rains may result in flooding or flash flooding. Flood water in fields...over roads and creeks...streams and rivers out of their banks will be possible. Be aware for possible warnings and do not enter flood waters. Turn around don't drown. The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a

* Flood Watch for portions of central Indiana, east central Indiana, south central Indiana, southeast Indiana, southwest Indiana, and west central Indiana, including the following areas, in central Indiana, Bartholomew, Boone, Decatur, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Marion, Morgan, Rush, and Shelby. In east central Indiana, Henry. In south central Indiana, Brown, Jackson, Lawrence, and Monroe. In southeast Indiana, Jennings. In southwest Indiana, Daviess, Greene, Knox, Martin, and Sullivan. In west central Indiana, Clay, Owen, Putnam, and Vigo.

* From late Sunday night through Tuesday morning

* Periods of rain...possibly heavy are expected from Sunday night through Tuesday Morning.

* River Flooding is expected and will likely worsen due to the additional rainfall. Standing water in fields and along some area roads will occur. This may result in driving difficulties and road closures.

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop. Should a warning be issued...be prepared to turn around and don't drown.
