Winter Storm Watch until 10:00AM Tuesday

* WHAT...A coating to 2 inches of snow and sleet and a light glaze of ice from freezing rain is expected tonight into Monday morning. There is the potential for several inches of additional snow and sleet and a quarter inch or more of freezing rain Monday night into Tuesday. The highest totals are most likely near the Pennsylvania border. Snow will continue through late this evening before changing to sleet and freezing rain between 1 AM and 4 AM overnight and continuing into Monday morning. Precipitation will mix with and perhaps even change to rain late Monday morning into Monday afternoon. Colder air will cause precipitation to change back to a wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain late Monday afternoon and continue into Tuesday.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and western Maryland, northwest Virginia and eastern and panhandle West Virginia.

* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 10 AM EST Monday. For the Winter Storm Watch, from 4 PM Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The Monday morning commute will be impacted by snow covered and icy surfaces. Plan on slippery road conditions and possible power outages due to snow and ice Monday night into Tuesday. Travel may become extremely difficult during this time.
