Flash Flood Watch & High Wind Warning: Tuesday 2/12/19 Night till Thursday 2/14/19 Morning
The City of Fremont is monitoring a powerful storm system that is expected to move into the area from 10:00 PM Tuesday night until 10:00 AM Thursday morning. A Flash Flood Watch and High Wind Warning have been issued for the San Francisco Bay Region, including Fremont. The storm is expected to produce rain up to 2 inches and sustained winds of 25-35 mph with the strong gusts up to 60 mph. Anticipated impacts include localized flooding, high winds causing downed trees, commute traffic and the potential for landslides and power outages.
City staff has inspected known flood prone areas and is clearing debris to minimize storm drain blockages. The City of Fremont will adjust staffing levels accordingly as the events unfold.
