Synopsis: A 66 year old male was riding his Trek mountain bike southbound in the northbound lane near the curb line. The male lost control of his bike and fell to the ground, landing in the #2 lane of northbound 1800 Fairmount Avenue. A 61 year old female, driving a 2001 Toyota Camry was northbound in the #2 lane. The driver did not see the downed bicyclist and ran over him. The female driver stopped and remained at the scene. The bike rider was pronounced at the scene. DUI was not a factor. Traffic Division responded and are investigating the collision.

Synopsis: Officers responded to several calls of a black male, 6' and 250 pounds, wearing a trench coat, and carrying a rifle. The suspect walked up to the Asian Bistro and started firing into the restaurant. Several people and employees were inside, however nobody was hit by gunfire. The suspect lowered the rifle and calmly walked away. Officers immediately arrived and started searching the area for the suspect. A witness told officers they saw a male disrobing and provided a description of what he was wearing. Officers detained a male in the area and were able to link him to the shooting. The suspect was arrested and is being charged with 9 counts of attempted murder. Western Division detectives responded to the scene and will be handling the investigation.
