Fairfield DUI Car Nabs Robbery Suspect

On 02/14/19 at approximately 01:45 am the Fairfield Police Dispatch center received a 911 call from a female stating that her son’s cellphone was taken from him by an unknown male in the 500 block of Jefferson Street.  The victim was confronted in front of his home by the suspect before being physically assaulted.  The suspect stole the victim’s cellphone and charger then fled southbound towards Delaware Street.  The suspect was described as an unknown race male wearing a black shirt, black pants, and carrying a duffle bag.

At the time of the suspect’s description being broadcast to patrol units, DUI Enforcement Officer Parodi was in the immediate area.  Officer Parodi located a male matching the description near the County parking structure and detained him.  The victim and his mother arrived on scene positively identifying the male who was detained as the male who had just robbed the victim.  The suspect was still in possession of the charger and had discarded the stolen cellphone which was recovered in the bushes near him.

Arrested was 36 year old Suisun City resident Noah Brown.  Brown was booked into Solano County Jail for Robbery and Resisting Arrest.

The Fairfield Police Department has worked hard to increase officer staffing over the past year.  In doing so this has allowed two of our Officers to be a dedicated DUI Enforcement Team. Officer’s Ryan Parodi and Kennan Sievers have been working diligently to make the City of Fairfield safer by taking impaired drivers off the street.  This is a win-win due to the fact that two additional officers are visible in our City and able to assist Patrol on calls such as this Robbery.
