The Broad River Volunteer Fire & Rescue Dept along with our very supportive Auxiliary would like to ask everyone’s assistance. We live in a great community who always come together no matter the need.

The Broad River Community Center, in conjunction with the Broad River Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, is asking for donations to install a new air conditioning and heating system in the 1950s era building. With no AC at all and an old oil heat system, the building is unusable 4-to-6 months of the year. Still, the community center is the heart of the Broad River area, serving as a location for meals, blood drives, fundraisers, exercise classes, reunions, parties, meetings, and more. A new AC/heat system will cost about $12,000 and bring the center up to modern standards, making it a better resource for all of our citizens. We would greatly appreciate receiving donations by the end of March so the work can be done before summer. Any funding received beyond what’s needed will be used solely making other upgrades and repairs to the center.
