Synopsis: A 41 year old male was driving N/B on 1600 Euclid Avenue in the #2 lane. He was driving a grey 2008 BMW 750i sedan. He entered the intersection of Federal Blvd. with a green traffic signal. A 39 year old female was crossing Euclid Avenue on foot in the north crosswalk. The female was crossing from the east side of Euclid Avenue towards the west side. The female was crossing against the pedestrian signal. The female was struck by the vehicle in the N-2 lane. The female sustained fractures to both lower legs and a fractured pelvis as a result of the collision. She was transported to an area hospital for treatment of her non-life threatening injuries. The driver remained at the scene and was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The pedestrian had been drinking, but her sobriety is not known. SDPD Traffic division will be conducting the investigation.
