Press Release: Axon Body Worn Cameras 
The Deal Police Department is committed to providing the highest level of police service to the residents and visitors of the Borough of Deal, Borough of Interlaken and the Village of Loch Arbour. As part of that commitment the Deal Police Department has deployed Body Worn Cameras as part of our uniform since approximately April of 2015. Since that time, we have tested and evaluated several different vendors and manufactures to ensure we provide our officers, and the public we serve, with the very best possible equipment.
Effective February 15, 2019, each Deal Police Officer has been assigned their own Axon Body Worn Camera as part of their uniform. Body Worn Cameras are viewed as a valuable asset and allow for accurate documentation of police-public contacts, arrests and critical incidents. Additionally, this equipment will enable department administrators to conduct periodic reviews of officer-citizen contacts. The Body Worn Cameras will help us maintain and exceed the highest professional police standards available. Please see that attached photo of our officers wearing the new Axon Body Worn Cameras.
