A 1 1/2 inch gas line was struck and broken in the W. alley of the 200 blk of N. Meridian St. An area of one block has been evacuated affecting businesses, residential and the City Hall. The fire department is on scene and awaiting response from the gas company. PD is blocking access to the area. Hopefully the line is capped within the hour.
Instructions:
Stay away from the area. no anticipated danger beyond the 1 block radius.
